Every Indian woman’s pride,
Especially when she’s a bride,
Bangles worn nationwide,
A gesture for her husband’s long life.
When her husband, with loyal devotion,
Serves his nation, full of emotion,
The bangles break, a solemn sign,
Marking the end of a bond so divine.
Some wear green, some wear red,
To match with their dress, it’s said.
Little girls get excited too,
With the tingling sound and colors so bright and new.
Bangles bring joy to everyone,
Young or grown-up, they stun.
In their arms, they make a run,
Of tingling sounds—chan chan chan!
